“I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” – John 17:20-21

Grace and peace, church family. I pray this finds each of you well.

The date is finally here. This Thursday, September 19, I am traveling to San Jose, Costa Rica, to attend the convening conference of the Global Methodist Church which begins on Friday.

As we move into this convening conference, I continue to sense such optimism, joy and anticipation with all the Spirit has been stirring as we head into this next exciting season of ministry.

I will confess that there is much to decide, discuss and vote on as we gather. So, here’s where you come in, church. I am asking you to join me in prayer for this significant time. Please pray for discernment, wisdom and unity among all attending as we seek out God’s guidance for the future of our church and denomination. Pray that all conversations and decisions made will honor Christ and empower us to live out our mission of making disciples of Jesus in a world that needs His hope and love.
